![]() ![]() The Jimmy Carter Work Project began on Friday, June 6, 2003, and will last until Friday, June 13, 2003. Throughout this week, the Valdosta/Lowndes County community will be working together in a building blitz to build 25 houses for low-income families. The Valdosta Food Bank will be preparing approximately 4900 meals a day for those who are working on site. Upwards of a hundred volunteers will be working at the Food Bank to help prepare these meals with 50 or more volunteers serving at the actual JCWP site. Information will be posted multiple times a day on the website regarding the JCWP. For pictures and information related to America's Second Harvest of South Georgia's involvement in the JCWP, please check back often. For more information regarding the JCWP, please click here. America's Second Harvest of South Georgia has prepared a slide show presentation consisting of photos from the 2003 Jimmy Carter Work Project. The presentation was scheduled to be made available for download through our website on Friday, June, 13. However, due to size restraints, we will be unable to offer the presentation for download. If you would like to receive a copy of the slide show presentation via mail on a CD-ROM, you may order one through our website for a $10 donation or by sending a $10 donation to our facility.
